Train for Life Fitness is a family run personal training and Martial Arts gym based in Bombay, Auckland. We help people of all ages and fitness levels build strength, improve fitness, and create lasting habits for life.
Our goal is simple, to support you in becoming stronger, healthier, and more confident, both physically and mentally.
Our Story
Train for Life Fitness was built from a passion for helping others and a belief that fitness should be accessible, supportive, and life changing.
What started as a vision has grown into a space where people can train in a way that fits their lifestyle without pressure, intimidation, or unrealistic expectations.

WEIGHT LOSS
We operate on 2 principles regarding weight loss; You are a product of your history, and what you do to get healthy is what you will need to keep doing to stay healthy. So everyone's plan will look different
MOBILITY TRAINING
Better known as strength at length, we prioritize, not just the ability to stretch, or the ability to be strong, but being able to take your muscles to the end of their range of motion and still recover. Think of a deep squat, or stepping off a high box.
SKILLS TRAINING
Training needs to be more than just a grind, we incorporate skill training from different types of exercise into our strength and mobility programmes. Want to learn Olympic lifting fundamentals? How about the basics of calisthenics or kettlebells, training can be both effective and fun!
STRENGTH TRAINING
Everyone has the ability to be far stronger than they believe. No matter your starting condition, we can help you achieve a strength level that will blow you away!
PHYSIQUE
Achieving your desired physique is not just about exercise, it also encompasses an understanding of what a healthy and achievable physique will look like, along with what it takes to get there. We will work with you to build the best physique you can achieve!
EDUCATION
We believe in the importance of educating our clients. Once you understand the principles and science behind the health choices you are implementing, you will be empowered to carry on with them long term. This is also why a big passion of ours is educating the next generation in simple, solid health, nutrition and exercise principles.
NUTRITION
Because food is an integral part of how we, socialise, entertain, celebrate and mourn, good nutrition needs to take this into account. We believe that sticking to good nutrition 90% of the time, will allow you the ability to be healthy, while still enjoying life. All our food choices and guidelines are built around that idea.
CLASSES
Kids will have a blast in our Jiu Jitsu sessions, where they’ll learn practical skills, build confidence, and stay active in a fun and supportive environment.
Adults, you’re not left out! Our Jiu Jitsu and grappling classes are designed to help you improve your fitness, develop real self-defense skills, and train alongside a welcoming community.
We also offer women’s-only classes, creating a safe and empowering space to grow in confidence, strength, and ability.
If you’re looking to start your day strong, our adult swimming classes are a great way to build water confidence, improve technique, and boost your overall fitness.
For those wanting to level up their training, our strength group sessions and advanced grappling classes provide a more challenging environment to push your limits, sharpen your skills, and keep progressing.
We’re proud to be part of the local community in Bombay and to support individuals and families across Franklin, Pukekohe, and South Auckland.
